What happened
Disney Entertainment and Netflix have entered an expansive non-exclusive content licensing agreement, first reported by Variety on Oct 2, 2026. The first two seasons of Percy Jackson and the Olympians (a Disney+ original, now streaming outside the Disney ecosystem for the first time) and all five 20th Century Studios Ice Age films began a three-month global Netflix window on Oct 4. Seasons 1-4 of Will Trent arrive globally on Netflix on Nov 3, with Shifting Gears, Tracker, Felicity, Revenge, Army Wives, Fresh Off the Boat and This Is Us on rolling schedules into early 2027; Pixar and Disney Animation titles including Soul, Elio and Raya and the Last Dragon are licensed to Netflix with early-2027 launches (dates varying by region). All titles remain on Disney+ and/or Hulu throughout — the deal is nonexclusive. Deal value was not disclosed.
